thanks ira, for addressing the orig post ---- 3+ yrs ago, i purchased my first plasma. added a panasonic $800 on sale for 440 panasonic dvd recorder. returned the recorder because i thought to use the cable system recorder (10 per month or so) until i decided. (((if i do the math....cable company is doing well------i have 2 of those boxes) a few months ago, went to buy DVD recorder................. WOW---they are less than 100/80......i was all excited.....didn't even need to comparison shop, but i didn't buy because the salesman then showed me BLUE RAY..............1200 then WOW, 800 now............. (salesman did say to wait for price reductions) (i know someone who bought a cheap dvd player---not recorder for about 30.) WOW michael
