I had a unique opportunity to bust a seller on Ebay regarding an
autograph. The item in question was a copy of the "Steve Miller Band's
Greatest Hits" vinyl album purportedly autographed by all the members of
the Miller band listed on the album credits in 1979. I was in the band
at the time, and would have been present at the signing; my supposed
signature was on the album cover. It wasn't even a close match to my
autograph, AND the idiot SPELLED MY NAME WRONG!!! (it had one "S" on
"Douglass"!!!!). It was a great feeling to contact the seller and call
him on his B.S. (I felt like Woody Allen producing Marshall McLuhan out
of nowhere in "Annie Hall" to prove a point to some jackass.) The guy
denied everything, of course, and accused ME of being delusional. As far
as I know, he's still out there, signing my name, (and anyone else's
that he feels like signing) and selling 'em by the bushel to
unsuspecting suckers, (along with a C.O.A., of course!)
You'd be safer off buying crack in a dark alley in Watts than purchasing
an autograph on Ebay.

the same time, without the poster being moved. And several of the
signatures "look alike" meaning they appear to be in the
same handwriting. Look for similar letters, like the t, the sweeps at
the end of a signature, I've studied only one persons signature,
(disney) but when you know what to compare to look for in an original,
it can be applied to others. Disney for example had items signed by
several studio artists and each had little differences. The "tail" to
a persons signature tells alot about the person.

look what sub-category it is listed under, in the POSTERS section: he
has it listed under the REPRODUCTIONS section. if this is legit, it
should be in the "Originals" sub-section, wouldn't you agree?
