I clearly see things slowing. There are not as many big orders from my website or from Ebay. Items still sell but they are usually the medium to lower end items. For a while I was flooded with international orders given the strength of the Euro but now given the dim financial outlook that has spread to the rest of the world, these foreign orders have slowed also.
I did go to a collectibles show last weekend in LA and it was my distinct impression that there was not a hell of a lot of purchasing going on but I have no way to confirm this. Also there were several regular dealers who were conspicuously absent. Maybe they felt it was not worth the time or the expense. Even the crowds of autograph hounds seem to have thinned out. I'll be interested in seeing the results of some upcoming high profile auctions next month.
