Tom;
I know Benito personally and he is most reputable and honorable. His stuff
isn't cheap but it's unique and fabulous. I'm sure you will be very happy with
your purchase, and I'm glad you were able to work it out with him. (I've done
something similar in the past...Benito has been quite patient with me.)

Many thank's to all those that responded on list and off.. I heard from
Benito and the one panel I wanted is going to be paid for in three
installments.
Many thank's to MOPO members for all your help and advice. I have paid on a
couple of film prints on time in the past but this is the first time for a
movie
poster!

All The Best,

I have done this sort of arrangement in
the manner you described with a few clients I know and trust. They have
usually worked out just fine, sometimes holding the items for over a year.
(Once a buyer can't his mind after a very long time and I was not
happy but gave the buyer his deposit back.) Just check the dealer's Ebay
rating and feedback and be sure you can trust the dealer to be honest.

Subject: [MOPO] Delayed Payment
    Transactions???

I wanted to ask a question of the group who are
    largely composed of dealers.

I am interested in buying an original poster from Spain
but I can't afford to make the purchase all at one time. I wanted to
use the time payment method. A deposit and then about three payments to
pay the poster off. The dealer would only ship the poster when the entire
funds are received. Is this common among dealers to do or allow this
type of a transaction? The poster I am interested in is one I have searched
for for a very long time. With the way the economy is this is the ONLY
way I can make the purchase by time payment. I thought maybe the price was
negotiable but the dealer feels the price is ok.

Anyway, I thought I would ask if this method of payment
    is done much or?

    Thanks!
