That's a SIMPLE solution -- I just wish everyone (including and/or especially
myself) -- would remember this. Great one, Phil!

Guys & Gals (or Bodgies and Widgies)....

Just put OT in the subject line and that way you don't have to read anything
that isn't about movie posters.
Rocket science it ain't.
Have a fine weekend, all.

Well, "myself," I am NOT fine with political discourse -- ANYTIME on MoPo. I
get all I want on the thousands of blogs available. Insults and even "truth"
in a political discussion are subjective. When a person discusses sex,
politics or religion in MIXED company -- more than any other -- they forget
that declaring a view some listeners might disagree (vs. one about posters) --
is a short-hand way of telling you that your thinking is flawed -- or worse,
that you yourself are flawed. When I have TIME, I'll talk politics off-list,
even stray "on-list" if it's about a film. Friends who've read me on MoPo
since the 90s know this. I hate this s***. But only HERE. -kuz w/the news.

political discourse anytime.. however it comes with a caveat:each person must
respect each other person's point of view, not revert to insults, name calling
or disparagement and therein lay the rub.I can't remember where I read it a
week or so ago, but one news columnist mentioned that too many people are
"trying to win an argument" over politics even to the point of fabricating or
twisting truth to prop up one's argument. He went on to say that it is better
to be "smart" and try to keep intelligent discourse. No one is trying to win in
a discussion if they are smart.. However if one is smart all by itself,
generally speaking - that is the winner of any discussion.and I love posters
with gorillas and womenI also love poster with women and no gorillason occasion
I love a poster with just the gorillaand finally, an ape is just as good.. as

I got in trouble last time I said what I thought. I think Al Gore should have
been President because he won and that we wouldn't be in this kind of trouble
if he had. I also think the planet, at least America, would be in better
condition for our kids, green jobs would already be abundant, ergo we wouldn't
be in this financial mess (as deeply) , etc.
I think it's pretty obvious the primary was was won by Hillary and that Bill
would have gone in and fixed whatever he screwed up the first time, which I'm
sure so many Presidents wish they could have also done. I think we'd have a
kick-ass health program.
And finally, after this past decade, I think we should have an Independent for
POTUS. They work between party lines. In fact, I think it would do us well to
not have a politician for President. I think a successful entrepreneur has
more knowledge of what America needs than a politician who just knows what
America wants to hear.
PS: If Bruce talks politics, it's OK. If I do it, it's not. There's a Yiddish
expression for people like that...

I also know full well that these items would have certainly sold incredibly

feel the blame can surely be placed on George Bush and this Democratic
Congress. Their massively wrong-headed policies in so many ways have hurt the

and it hopefully won't take nearly that long).
If there ARE many bargains to be found in these auctions, I hope that long-time
collectors will take advantage of them!
Does anyone here doubt that George Bush will go down as the worst President in
American history? And I am not being partisan in saying this, for I feel the
Democratic Congress is at least equally to blame for all the terrible decisions
that were made the past 8 years (some they came up with on their own, and some
they simply went along with Bush, passing his wacky ideas, when any sane person
would have recognized them as recipes for disaster). And they let the robber
barons on Wall Street loot the country for 7 years, and then, when those fools
managed to bankrupt themselves, they go along with the insane plan of bailing
them out with OUR money!
What do YOU think?
