The Susan Boyle story has been picked up by nearly every news organization in the U.K. -- and a few here in the U.S. -- hence difficult for a news junkie to miss. But the most gratifying part is this -- while Susan Boyle is still "in the running" for the £100,000 top prize and a chance to sing at the Queen's annual Royal Performance benefit concert -- Simon Cowell's Sony BMG group is already in discussions with her about a recording contract. So even if this flames out, her life is forever changed. Her personal story is rather heartbreaking. d.
