Well, I guess there's nothing for it, we need another acronym to join the
OT/FS/FA/SOB/FMSWAKO. et al....

How about AR (Auction Reminder)?

Actually, I don't mind these reminders, even if I have already done my dash
bidding on Sean's latest auctions in this particular instance.

Bruce's ARs always makes me smile.... he either wanders, moseys or meanders
over to his auctions near the end and is STUNNED that the action is so slack.

I get this mental image of Bruce kind of loping across the office to the PC,
looking a little like Gary Cooper.....

I think old pros know well the last minute action (or at least some of them
remember it...) but MOPO grows all the time with new folks who never post, so I
think for people like BH, SL, Lumi, Freeman, et al, who regularly run auctions
to post wake-up calls and try and drum up some interest, more likely from
MOPERs who may not have logged on all week, is no bad thing.

In the current climate I'm always happy to see pro sellers who know what a slog
big listings are to do, do get results.

I know of one failed poster dealer who has flung himself off his stack of
folded one sheets, in homage to all those Great Depression movies.

This question would make much more sense after these auctions ended.
Sean, I have known you for many, many years form this list. I cannot believe
you are unaware of the "last minute" bidding that takes place on ebay that can
take an item multiples of the current bid.

This sounds like an eBay advertisement rather than a genuine question
on who collects Elvis or Marilyn.

When looking over the bargains in our current eBay Auctions, these
pieces really stuck out at me.
We have four lobbies from Jailhouse Rock, and four lobbies from The
Prince and The Showgirl all at what would probably be 25-year record lows for
these icons. Not a single one of the Elvis cards is more than $32 right now,
and not a single one of the Marilyn cards is more than $12 right now (and this
doesn't even count the beautiful French Grande on Seven Year Itch which is at
$15, or the Let's Make Love one-sheet at $46).
          Check them out below:

           Jailhouse Rock Lobby Card #2 - $26.00

           Jailhouse Rock Lobby Card #6 - $10.50

           Jailhouse Rock Lobby Card #7 - $20.50

           Jailhouse Rock Lobby Card #8 - $32.00

           Let's Make Love One-Sheet - $46.01

Seven Year Itch French Grande - $15.50

Some Like It Hot Italian 2-Folio - $20.08

           Prince & the Showgirl Lobby Card #1 - $9.99

           Prince & the Showgirl Lobby Card #2 - $11.90

           Prince & the Showgirl Lobby Card #3 - $11.90

           Prince & the Showgirl Lobby Card #5 - $9.99
