Subject: Re: [MOPO] Does Anyone Still Collect Elvis
Personally I am sure hoping folks out there still collect Elvis. In 3 weeks
I will be going home to drive back across country with my dads estate to sell
for my dear sweet mother. My dad has been an elvis fan since the 1950s and had
literally an elvis museum in our house. Tons of vintage (non-film paper) items
as well as every imaginable knick knack, lamp, figure, decanter and anything
else that family members could find on elvis to give him on gift occasions. I
am hoping items will sell well enough to build up her bank account to live on
(along with a truck load of other collectibles he obsessed on). She is now
living on his pension because she is too independent to move in with a son that
loves her so this is the next best thing I can do to help. I can't say I look
forward to driving a U-haul across the country on a 4 day trip but just getting
to go through all his collections without him over my shoulder telling me to
put things right back where I found will be less nerve racking (though I'll be
hearing his voice in my ear the whole time). Ha!
