Lots of good info, Kirby! I think that it is really good that these don't look like traditional movie posters, whether or not you like the "look" of them, because what would be the point if they looked pretty much the same?
I understand the "Franklin Mint" comparision, and the makers of these will completely ruin them if they make too many and the supply exceeds the demand, as with the Franklin Mint "insta-collectibles". Kirby, I love theaters like you describe, and it is worth a premium to me to be in a better setting to see a good movie (when the MGM Grand first opened in Las Vegas, it had two-people couches, and even cocktail waitresses!). I wonder how the economic downturn is affecting these theaters?
