Their poster designs and layout remind me of the old Paint By Numbers
printed canvases.. i recently saw a few including one for BLADE
RUNNER and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. i wasn't impressed.
Anyone have a brush and paint color A3 to fill in that cloud??
these, to me, are posters advertising the film's screening time and
date, for this particular venue, and as such, i feel theses are more
Alamo Drafthouse advertising posters, using an image of whatever film
they are showing, to promote the screening, which is a movie
theater's business.

After auctioning around 400,000 items, we finally are auctioning
our very first Alamo Drafthouse poster! For those of you who don't
know, the Alamo Drafthouse is a restaurant/theater located in
Austin, Texas. They create their own posters for showings of
movies. The posters are produced in limited numbers and are known
for their different, really cool artwork.
The one we are currently auctioning is from Hell Ride, the 2008
Larry Bishop motorcycle biker gang action adventure thriller
(executive produced by Quentin Tarantino) starring Larry Bishop,
Michael Madsen, Eric Balefour, Vinnie Jones, Leonor Varela, David
Carradine, and Dennis Hopper. It features Tyler Stout art.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for. These ARE from
actual showings of the movie, so it seems they absolutely ARE
"movie posters", but some might argue with that! What is YOUR
opinion of these posters?
