Marking the back of a linen backed poster permanently and neatly is not an
easy thing to do.

Has anyone ever tried to write on the back of a linen backed poster? Its
not easy in most cases as the canvas usually doesn't hold ink too well....at
least the ones I've seen....and I've seen a few where the ink has even
rubbed off. And its definitely not a good idea if you keep your linen backed
posters stored flat piled on top of each other.

I think something like a silk label or something similar would have to be
ironed on.....but I think this would even peel off eventually. Maybe if it
were sewn on....but this would obviously need to be done before it was
backed.
