The intentions of the auction houses may not have been to deceive but
auction houses are supposed to be experts on the items that they
auction. They share some of the responsibility for allowing these fakes
to be sold as originals in their auctions at preposterous prices, no
less! And let's not forget the auction houses took commissions based
upon percentages of these inflated sales. It's the ultimate
responsibility of the auction houses to make good on these sales and to
vigorously persue legal means to recover money from the perpetrators of
these frauds. FRANC

Subject: [MOPO] Poster Villains

Clearly, there are villains here who decided to CREATE some very
valuable posters in order to line their pockets.

Having said that, let's not work overtime in order point the finger of
blame where it clearly does not belong. There auction houses that may
have sold fakes have acted responsibility here. They are not the enemy.
