Naturally the one I didn't get was the one I wanted the most.

Nathalie,

I bet you weren't the only one who wanted that Horror still the most either,
even though YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WON IT.

I've seen this same situation just a few too many times happen to others on
Ebay. Most likely this is what happened...Somebody made them a much better
offer than your winning bid and they sold it to the other party.

I'm sorry this happened to you as I know how disappointed you must have felt
when you didn't get the still you were really looking forward to, but there are
collectors and dealers out there that have no scruples.

Best,

Todd

A few years ago, I won some terrific Universal and Columbia horror stills on
Ebay and received all but one of them a week later. Naturally the one I didn't
get was the one I wanted the most. Finally, I called the seller and - after
talking to at least three different people, I was told that the still was "not
available," and that they would refund my money. I was not emailed about this,
but was only told when I called several times. Very odd, they never fully
explained the situation and I wonder about it from time to time. Can any
seller here suggest what might have been going on with this?

Earlier this year I won a DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS Quad from an unknown Australian
seller. Never received it and no replies after I paid with paypal. Paypal only
reimbursed me a fraction of what I paid. The one from that ebay seller was as
it seemed on an older linen by the way.

If anyone has/knows of one for sale let me know, still looking for one.

how frequent (or perhaps, infrequent) are ebay items, posters, etc, NOT
received ?

i am sure both buyers and sellers have stories to tell.

(sellers changing their minds, lost in the mail, people merely saying

     that item was not received....etc.)
