doesn't surf, by the way.

Hello Folks

Charlie here.. I just wanted to step in and make some comments.

I've never met Joe or Jaime but I think that Universal monster
posters are great.. It was Frankenstein that knocked my brain off
kilter and turned me into an off kilter killer.

You know that sometimes everything isn't always as it seems.

I mean like, just because Jaime and Kerry were busy making extra
copies of rare items doesn't mean it was a bad thing!!
Think of all the collectors who could never have afforded a real
Bride of Frankenstein lobby card, but through the wizardry of forged
copies, how many more could actually own some of those beauties and
really, don't you think they're happy thinking they have an original
movie poster rather than one of those Zipporama reprints that they
would know are repros.

think about it.. isn't it better for them to think they have an original?
So what Jaime made them look like real pieces with lots of
restoration.. that's the idea right?
who would think an unrestored Zipporama reprint is real without all
that airbrushing, and the NSS markings on the back??

so c'mon.. give Jaime a break.. he was doing a service to that hobby of yours.
did any of you ever see the Owl and the Pussycat with Barbara Streisand?
Don't you remember the scene where she goes to the insurance company
to put in a claim and she goes over teh whole list of stuff she lost
and the adjuster keeps denying items until she gets a $25 check.?

she asks him "why was I paying insurance?"
to which he replied "well all those years you had insurance, you did
feel secure didn't you?"

Well don't you think the owners of these fakes felt cool to own what
they thought was real??

I put my support behind Jaime and while I'm at it.. Joe too.

what a great couple of guys
