these arent ebay items but being sold thru a private seller. the framing
looks low quality and like newer wood, as do the mats.

to me, too.. if a seller doesnt want to ship without the frame, i would be a
little concerned, too, because of potential damage and the fact that if a
repro, the seller could claim innocence, saying they were bought frramed and
he or she had no clue about their authenticity.
