Kevin, you could try to cut away the parts of the glass that AREN'T stuck to 
the poster to make it easier to ship to your restorer.  A glass cutter is cheap 
and easy to get (just like me!) and doesn't require any particular genius to 
use.  Score, tap, and snap.  Wear gloves though (and OSHA inspectors would 
probably insist on eye protection if you're concerned about seeing your poster 
when you're done).
 
Much easier to protect a small chunk of glass for shipping than a big one.

ANyone know How to remove/restore a 100 year old poster  STUCK to the frame 
glass?  It is very fragile and before I send to the restoration company I want 
to remove it from the glass. ABout a 10" section has stuck to the glass.  Any 
ideas?
