Good point Bruce. If the image has transferred to the glass it is definitely not a good idea trying to remove the poster.

You would have more luck transferring the rest of the poster to the glass rather than the other way around! If it is bad enough, just leave it like it is and display it, and know that in 500 years almost all of your collection will have turned to dust anyway. A glass cutter is cheap and easy to get (just like me!) and doesn't require any particular genius to use. Score, tap, and snap. Wear gloves though (and OSHA inspectors would probably insist on eye protection if you're concerned about seeing your poster when you're done). Much easier to protect a small chunk of glass for shipping than a big one. --Peter --- On Fri, 2/5/10, Kevin Conway <[email protected]> wrote: From: Kevin Conway <[email protected]> Subject: [MOPO] How to remove a 100 year old poster STUCK to the glass To: [email protected] Date: Friday, February 5, 2010, 3:43 PM ANyone know How to remove/restore a 100 year old poster STUCK to the frame glass?
