Welllllll

An interesting thread but surely we can go on and on about who is the meanest
villain in movies. Hannibal Lecter has to be up there. Alan Rickman had a great
time in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Claude Rains as Prince John.

I actually think that one of the meanest things done by a villain type was when
Al Pacino as Michael Corleone closed the door of Kay (Diane Keaton) when she
was saying goodbye to her children in Godfather Part Two. But surely the top
villain has to be Bruno Ganz in Downfall, he played the role with perfect study.

Or what about Gert Frobe as Auric Goldfinger? Donald Pleasance as Blofeld?
Annaihaltion of the super powers just for finance.

Kenneth Brannagh did an excellent job as Heydrich in Conspiracy.

Christopher Lee as Saruman? No, surely one of the greatest villains has to be
Dave Prowse/James Earl Jones as Darth Vader.

But we can go on and on...in the end it's who we love to hate that makes a good
villain.

Subject: [MOPO] MEANEST VILLAINS

watching the TMC lead-in to STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, it was suggested that Robert
Walker played 1 of the 5 meanest movie villains, EVER!!!

i suppose another one was in KISS OF DEATH (Richard Widmark???).

WHO ARE THE OTHERS?
