I wonder if it was all WB. Those rare films collectors can be a bit squirrely.

I figured someone must have had the original RS version but was keeping to 
themselves.

There are a lot of rare, one of a kind films in the vaults of private 
collections

  I heard they are showing a restored print of the 1954 A Star Is Born. Too bad 
the owner of the full roadshow prints does not want to lend them to Warner 
Brothers. He had problems with Warner before on other films he had.
