It's a great movie, but Victor Mature is no Robert Mitchum and GUN CRAZY is, in
many ways, a one-of-a-kind movie, thanks to Joe Lewis's direction... and has
great art.

Channing's notes that the studio deliberately wanted monochrome full bleed art
for the one sheet is interesting and one wonders what was behind this thinking.
But I don't see great design elements in this poster. Oddly enough, the
Australian paper, especialy the daybill is much more attractive, using similar
art and in colour.

Just checked, Channing still has his.

Don't know why this one isn't valued more highly generally, unless people
find the monochrome a turn off.
Up there with Out of the Past and Gun Crazy paper for me.
  Top Noir (literally) poster.
