I wish every backer would mark their work somehow (with a seal, emblem or something). Not only so i would know who to stay away from when I see horrible work, but it is tremendous word of mouth for the more talented restorers, as when you see a great looking piece you want to use that person.

Unless a poster is already sold and the client requires it, these days I only have posters linenbacked that have a serious condition issue, that severely lower the display value. (Like stains in a white background of an otherwise nice condition poster.) With all the over-restoration, it's already obvious that many people (collectors and decorators alike) are already willing to pay a serious bonus for unbacked items in great condition.
