Hi Tom, Great question and the answer is a definite "it depends".
Lobby cards of course is the size indicator and pulling up the listing, I can see from the description it is a complete set. There is also an indicator below the photo that says "8 images" which you can click on to see large scans of alll the cards. Is it expensive? Perhaps, but i've certainly seen sales that I thought were even crazier. It is certainly true we have some great singles and sets listed right now - Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, King Kong, and many others. Definitely worth checking out. I see some listings with insanely high prices for not-at-all rare cards, (eg: $1650 for a card from When World's Collide.") I'm thinking, this has to be a error with an extra zero in the price, or a price for the set (though here even that would be way way overvalued). So is this just someone trolling for a sucker? I like the site and there's some great stuff there--can;'t wait to see it grow. But the first time through I stopped looking after seeing so many not just high but nutso-high prices. -Tom > > On Wed, Mar 7, 2012 at 9:49 AM, Sean Linkenback > <[email protected]> wrote: >> Now might be a good time to take advantage of our free listings and give us >> a try. >> www.MoviePosterExchange.com >> >> I just did two interviews today with mainstream publications who look like >> they are going to run stories about our site and the Metropolis 3-sheet. >> If you'd like to get your poster out in front of eyes that don't usually >> look at posters, this could be an excellent opportunity. >> >> We've had several people sign up this past week and over 100 items have been >> added to the site in that time, but obviously we would love to see a lot >> more. >> >> A few sales have happened and I see lots of people using the >> offer/counter-offer system and trying to make deals. >> I would also like to point out we have a Want List system for users, where >> if you add titles/keywords to your want list, you will get an email letting >> you know the minute someone lists something that matches it. >> >> Peter and I have been very pleased with all the support we've received for >> our new venture, so thanks to everyone who has been checking us out. >> >> Sean >> >> >> Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com >> ___________________________________________________________________ How to >> UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: >> [email protected] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF >> MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content. > > > > -- > Jim Gresham > 18501 Henry Ct > Ray Mi 48096 > 586 677-7669 > > www.greshamsinc.com > www.childrenofthenightbook.com > www.theyreherealreadybook.com > > Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com > ___________________________________________________________________ > How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List > > Send a message addressed to: [email protected] > In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L > > The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
