I think the site is interesting and should be welcomed. I wince at it all being pegged to the "news" that there is a Metropolis 3sheet for sale at $850,000. Is this not the same Metropolis 3sheet that was for sale at Majestic posters (and indeed on Ebay) for $2m? And, if so, shouldn't the "news" be that a rare poster has apparently halved in value?
For me, this is not any kind of news until someone pays for it. But I will monitor the site and hope that it's a success for everyone involved and for the hobby. If you'd like to get your poster out in front of eyes that don't usually look at posters, this could be an excellent opportunity. We've had several people sign up this past week and over 100 items have been added to the site in that time, but obviously we would love to see a lot more. A few sales have happened and I see lots of people using the offer/counter-offer system and trying to make deals. I would also like to point out we have a Want List system for users, where if you add titles/keywords to your want list, you will get an email letting you know the minute someone lists something that matches it.
