I'm surprised most print media is still alive today, much less a few years from now. the only time I get a newspaper is when I'm at an airport going somewhere. Other than that I get my written news online where I can choose a variety of sources every day.

as the Baby Boomers die off, print will be gone

Yup, sadly, the end of print media is happening somewhat sooner, though only by a year or two, than most were predicting. (I have to say I've been surprised the newsweeklies have even lasted this long. A weekly newsmagazine? In the age of the Internet and the 24-hour news cycle?)

That said...

As a cartoonist and freelance writer I've made all or some of my living in print for most of my adult life. That ended earlier this year when the alt weekly I cartooned for was shuttered by its corporate masters. At a cartoonists convention a scant week after that, one of Canada's best-known editorial cartoonists predicted that the paper he works for won't even exist, in print form or maybe in any form, in three years. Now it looks like he was being optimistic!

On the heels of MCW ending comes the end of Newsweek, One by one they will all go. Time is next, and then The New York Times (yes, The New York Times).
