shipping costs keep going up, as does the cost of boxes and flat
cardboard, tubes, plastic bags, labels... everything we need to operate.
every time something goes up, I have to absorb some loss, be it the
direct costs of the materials or the indirect costs of a bidder
bidding $1 less because I just had to raise expenses $1. That's a
loss to me. I don't get to keep the dollar, it goes to the cardboard
or shipping or whatever.
I already am prepared for when I believe shipping costs may actually
damage the value of online sales, which I predict will happen sometime in 2014.
I think that in 2013 I will have to increase shipping costs and the
same in 2014 at which point I think it will be $3 more than it is
currently for the first unit.
Shipping a 4lb package to NYC from Vegas I think will cost North of
$22-$25 and to those who want to say "go with UPS or Fed-X".. you
folks haven't compared the rates. USPS is the least expensive carrier
and for good reason. If we lose the USPS, mail order sellers may as
well shut down

internationally
