All I know is that my dad took me to see this film at the Gaylynn Theater in Beaumont, Texas in 1953, and I almost s… my pants. I am still damaged by it. What was he THINKING? That little kid terrorized. I identified with him! And that sand hole that kept swallowing things up! I couldn't sleep for a week.
