I'm not an auction house, so I don't sell posters by the thousands, but I
hardly get ANY returns whatsoever, so I guess I must be doing SOMETHING right.

I don't see any need for a 'uniform' grading system, and as long as a potential
buyer is able to make an EDUCATED GUESS about the condition, I can't see that
it makes any difference if an item is labeled 'fair' or 'good' or 'C4' or
whatever.

My images are usually not that great, but if there are any defects not easily
seen on the photo, I try to point them out in the description. Take this SEVEN
YEAR ITCH title card that I just listed:

http://www.filmposter.net/movieposters/poster/movie/original/the-seven-year-itch-6/search/1/pno/0/

The creases and light discoloration are quite easily seen on the image, the
MINIMAL trim of the top border? You would have to look really sharp to notice
that, so I made a note for it in my description. I graded the card Very Good,
somebody else might call it 'Good' and yet somebody else might probably label
it 'Fine-', but does that really make a difference? I don't think so.

Just my two cents.
