I've noticed a curious phenomenon in Heritage Auctions.
On some items, as soon as the auction is barely over, there appears a link MAKE OFFER TO OWNER, and under it is added " This item's Owner is proactively entertaining Offers". Would anyone care to chip in and explain to me what this is all about? Who are those buyers that turn around and try to sell as soon as they became winners of the item? Are these investors? Dealers? And who is their target audience? Heritage "regulars" who just happen to miss this auction? Because anyone who participated in the auction, already bid as high as they would care to, or so it seems. I don't get it. Can somebody illuminate? Thanks, Zeev --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
