been a wiered couple of months,.I have met so amany interestingpeopel
from all walks of life... some people compare my writing to a writer
named James Joyce and I never heard of him as I never studied english in
school as I quit at age 15...so whatever I have learned is from the
street wise and experience and peopel that have shared things with me/
Like today I was at a flea market and saw some kraft envelopes.. they
wanted 3.00 and I wanted to make a offer of 2.00 the people where all
deaf !!! so they talked in sign lamguage... I said IM deaf in my left
ear... and they could read my lips/// also i held up 2 fingers,,, they
accepted my offer and one guy said learn sign language...Ithought Budyy
I cant even learn regular english....But someon how I get along.....how
I can only thing God... but if I say that the thiests wll get thier
panties in a poar... so lets say " george Burns is looking out for me
and having a ball... so to make this a poster topic... the other day I
saw a post on facebook it seem Drew struzan has been ill last few years
and had retired from paintng.... well hes always been my fave and we met
him in 1997 at the star wars celebration in Denver and he signed several
1 shts for my son and I..well i decided to write him a email and explain
that I understood illness and hope he got better and hank him..we had
given one of our clapboards to him and rick mcallum at the
event...well.... I also mentionaed that I met alice cooper back inlike
1971 and told him I thought he would make it when they where just
starting as a band in Pontiac mich... drank a few budweisers with alice
and talked music...he name was vince and later he helped save the iconic
Hollyweood sign..also Drew did the 1st album cover of Alice...small
worldz??? I had given a tapestry of my grandmothersto alice as I thought
he could make a costume from it..that was last i ever saw him and as i
thought he became a hit adn legend... he even gave my friend a harmonica
he used on 18...anyways so I get a email from Drew assistant that he
understood all i said and that Love andpeace was what life was all
about... so we agreed o n everything they also said 2 months ago he
gifted the clapboard to a yong female director that wants to be a
producer...which shows how cool and generous Drew is.. so I replied and
said I would love to sedn a replacement to him...it was just so cool to
feel thewarmth of Drew and as Ive looked at his work think what a
contribution he has made to the movie poster world....... so more
news... I plan to list stuff on ebay... slow process as they changed so
much since I was on last... but I learn .. heres another funny.. I have
been in the phone book 38 years.. andtheother day I found out by
accident that Ihave been listed as a sports card shop and also general
collectables because yellow pages didnt know what movie memeorabilia
catagory was back them... as a courtesy when peopel called and asked do
I buy cards, nasacar , beanie babies and many othe collectables I would
offer ideas.. like ebay , craigslist, flea markets, antique shoppes and
dealers as many of these peopel where trying to make rent or eat.... and
some severly depressed. It was god for them and me also as i saw i was
not alone..many had just lost a parent or spouse or where sick... they
just needed someone to talk to...I tryed to show them how to research
values....what was cool is it excercised my brain also so i was able to
do trivia instead of sitting alone freaking out about my own ills..so
even though I dont have a clue whats next I am greatful for everything..
even thought I am alitlle concerned about the saem things we all are///
