years ago in 80s or 90s I had hire employees three temp agencies they handled workers comp taxes etc..we just made out one check to the agency..I think paid 10.00 per hour I had like10 employees to make my products..

one day a woman came into work..she could nougat the idea that the clapboards got three Rivits put in..we did like 30,000 to 50.000 preorder for Disney, Paramountand Universal so they needed to be done ina organize time well she. would leave out the back plates that held therivits in..I called theagencie as theyaassured me people were screened for cognitive and manufacturing abilities

the woman was african american..so we called my mom to help us get the slack as she was a ritirtedolder woman..the temp was standing ther and thought my mom took her job...so next thing the naacp called and the woman had file a suit against me saying was prejudice.

Now..several things..I love all races all religions ands I had to defend myself I said look I dont hire based on colorer anything I hireifthey can do the job...

the agency made me jump thru hoops for weeks I had to get documents from Black friend attesting I was nota racist and all kinds of stuff the kickers was that at the time the woman filed it I had majority of workers were Black.. I never gota apology and never gota letter..I lost lots of time...they found no issues so I was not given any ticket or write up//but sure it hurt..they even looked tosee if I had wheelchair accessibility and other adad requirements just had a small retail shop 700 square foot

In retrospectitwas good practice like Fire extinguishersandall that and now thatiam disabled I cans the issues for the disabled...

meanly issu has been make large font appointment cards for low vision elderly people as its hardto see where to go..

as far the deaf,,I have a phone now that reads you the call words= landline..but I cant see Sitwell..but its free from the government for thereof.. I thinks a goodies as it gives emergency back up phone I guess until you get disabled its hard tounderstnd the blind or deaf or amputated..I understand them all ther is a extreme dislike of elderly being to slow or not quick as its a young person society today..I think most would like the disabled to just croak..so that why many are very grumpy because at one time they're strong healthy folks who just got sick..maybe some ask for more then they should get//

for me its sad to see human Harden their hearts to the disabled and sick..
wee all suffer in many ways
God bless everyone

Of course California is the epicenter of this kind of craziness. I
have a friend who has a comedy club there, and the state made him get
a phone reservation system that deaf people can use!

It cost him $40,000, and of course he argued that he doesn't think ANY
deaf people go to comedy clubs, but that fell on deaf ears.

The world gets crazier by the day.

I received one of those letters a few years ago. I ignored it.

Hi all,

We have recently been threatened to be sued by a visually impaired
website visitor for violations of the Americans with Disabilities
Act, including a threat to expand the case into a class action.
(Art galleries – particularly New York galleries – have been
attacked with these kinds of lawsuits in recent months). Wondering
if anyone has heard anything related to this.

Thanks,
Sam
