great info i just gavea man 2 Uline catalogs..btw they are haveinga sale on some boxes 30-40% off sale..and the shippingis not bad from chicago to Toledo.. I am carefullon exact size boxed however the 14 22 is interestsing i would use pad to beefup incase the box gets hitonten conveyer..my rule is to float the packageinthe box in case its struck froma sharp subject i like to havea few inches around the item and use foam or bubble wrap oreeven a hard substrate.. however if the items are say multiple window cards and can be packed together,,then wrapped in foam 1/16 is good theni rap in kraft paper ora one sheet and if it fits i wrap in a shrink wrap pouch and it protects from water damadge

so a box say 15 x 23-24 would be prefer against damage
but it depends on how many youship ata time..

I use to get window cards printed by tribue show printand they had boxes thatwere folder type that fitas i would get 100s ofposter they used banding to keep it tothe..we used them forshows so we were not concerned about damage the more they actas a monolith structure

the big variable is how many and what vintage and variables when packing...and is it replaceable.. a newer one can bea simple 4 pad sheet corrugated sheets some ta[e and kraft paper.theysell rolls at home deep as drop cloth paper,,,and any old box can be cut to size with a Box cutter razor blade

HI Roland that sound like window cards..
if you can not fine a stock box you may need to cut a larger box
down to
fit them.

Try Boxes unlimited in Rochester they may have a box that holds the
14 x
22 backings ifyou buy like 25 backings whentheywould ship them
andifyou
are one est coast i think shippingis included

also you can cheeeack with ULINE as they have stock boxes and just
find
a size similar in size...theyusuallyseel in quanitys of 25 boxes...

last resort is find a local box company that sells corrogated boxes
or a
store thatw illgive youa box free and modify the size witha box
cutter
asnd some tape//

I had to ship a 7 foot millennium Falcon store display by fed ex to
a
customer in Japan..we made the box to fit with Lots of Bubble wrap
,
Foamcushionand stratch wrap

it was used in a toys are us as a store display..andyou had towin
them..
it arrived fine and customer was happy.. butitwas hard to pack...
Hope that helps Roland

remember to also back the posters with stiff corrugated..when i
shipped
a rare window card- for the terror 1928 Wb 1st Horror film i backed
with
2 pieces of Masonite so it could not bend then i covered with Foam
and
corrogated .It was going to Forrey Ackerman as a gift of author Ron

Borst of Graven Images book fame..he gave me feedback on ebay and
said
itwas the best packing job he ever had on a ebay sale...I figured i
had
one chance to insure it arrived in good shape as i could not
replace the
poster,, lucky for me it arrived in good condition
