saddened to hear,,i had problems with UK ,spain and gerenaby,, Japan and AU many years back whentheUSA started not doing surface mail by ship// its all justby airand got so expensive,, Adian Cowdry wanted a book i had i think was 1steditiont
of reel posters orsomething we wer both shocked
as far as puttinga lower value that can backfire

so unless i would feel comfortable the buyer would do good business and pre pay all the mailshipping cost,, so be careful and prudent how many times can you afford to give up the sales thepo office wont back usso its a very risky gamble..perhaps Bruce or Heritale or others havea secure way..last i did biz with Germany they paid the shippingto me..On German Posters,,,

Hope that helps..factorinall true costs atthetime of saleandjust be honestas it trulyisthebestpolicy some platforms will get reduction on shipping.. ask them

Hi John,
This is why I deal only with U.S. shipping. After having postal

Anglos in England, I've become a shipping chauvinist. (Albeit one who

SUBJECT: [MOPO] Sending items to the UK

Hi to you all

I sent a package to a customer in the UK. I had previously advised him
that I was required to declare the full value and he agreed to that.
It is now sitting in customs in the UK and he has apparently refused
to pay the duty so it will end up being returned to me.

My understanding of the regulations is: For amounts under £146.00 we
have to collect customs duty and submit it to the UK government. For
any amount over £146.00, the buyer has to pay whatever duty is
applicable.

I'm not interested in being a tax collector for the UK government so
just curious about how other sellers on MoPo deal with the
requirements. Also, is there any exemption for US sellers?

Regards

John
