Bingo.

I thought we won the war on drugs.

Our local officials here declared war on the gangs. Only to flush them
out to neighboring communities with no resources to contain them.

So our former problem is now somebody else's problem.

Once again, a failure to look ant the cause root of the issue ( "they
attacked us because they hate our freedom"), any issue will never solve
the problem.

Of course there are lots of Band-Aid solutions, but none address the real
problems.

Plaster and paint do not fix structural damage. They make it invisible
for a while, but that's about it.

I have been going over a book called "Cadillac desert", it's about the
future of water in this country. Well just like the aftermath of Katrina,
they will be saying, "who would have thought."
