Some people are more aggressive in stopping something
from happening and other people are more passive in
their rejection. They both can still lead up to a
climatic destruction or a sublime peace. At work we
are told to avoid hands-on on the one hand, and on the
other hand we are told to more pressure on the
teenagers to allow their true delinquent nature to
emerge for all to see. These 'true delinquent
natures' were present and emerged when they were not
at the facility, so, it's not that we are making the
choice for them as to how they will be. We are
confronting them and putting pressure on them so this
'true delinquent nature' will happen. Will they run,
hit staff, hit other residents, what will happen? We
are present to maintain safety, but the pressure's on
what will they do? Will we avoid hands-on? Ask them
to do something once, and that's it, then give them a
consequence if they don't. Their coming from
situations that let them do whatever they want, and
now were giving them strict rules to follow and expect
them to follow these rules, or else.
This could be Myanmar today, but who's expecting
who to follow the rules of what they want? Who's the
delinquents in Myanmar - thus, clash!
crickets,
SA
