Hey Margaret, I'm so refreshed that via the MOQ I've found some others who dig Beefheart - I'm a big fan and have spent thousands of hours listening to his music since I first bought one of his albums about 5 years ago.
He is very much an acquired taste in my opinion; it was only because the UK DJ John Peel was such a fan of his that I persevered with 'Trout Mask Replica' and even then I had to listen to that about a dozen times before I could bear more than the first few tracks.
