I think Pirsig's experience with the "Hindu understanding" is very limited in it's scope and perhaps a tad colored by an inherent chauvinism. dmb says: I wouldn't dismiss it as chauvinism. He accuses christianity of producing the same "clap-trap". He says all religions do this, more or less.
