dmb says: I'd say fear is what makes people too static so it does seem that being open to the dynamic requires some kind of courage. Or maybe its better to say that dynamism takes more effort, more energy, more wakefulness. I think its a sad, sad thing to be terrorized by dynamism. One who clings to static forms out of fear is the victim of some kind of murder. That's a guy who doesn't own himself and is thoroughly unfree, no? Plus fear makes people stupid and compliant. Check out Naomi Klein's "The Shock Doctrine" or Naomi Wolf's "The End of America".
