Margaret,

A walkway through the marsh to the water sounds wonderful! It must
be a lovely place. My mind is already trying to fill in the
detail. But there is nothing like being there.

The lake is now frozen so the little boat is no longer
appropriate. The lake is quite beautiful at the moment. There are
large sections that are as smooth and reflective as a mirror. Also
there is a lovely design of rougher veins where channels used to be
in-between floating ice. The sun catches on these veins, and it all
changes and reflects differently as the sun moves across the
sky. The ice does not seem thick enough yet to walk on. It is so
smooth and clear that you can easily see through it. That might be
giving the appearance of being thin ice. Either way, nobody has yet
ventured onto it. The kids are usually the first. I bet when the
ice seems thick enough, the man who owns the little red boat will be
out there ice fishing. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
