What's interesting here ... an interview "after the event" that caused the debate ... is that even when the journalist asks the question about tolerance of freedoms to practice "faith" .... the archbishop still continues his "social custom" line - religions are just different social instritutions. I've said before that Rowan Williams speaks a lot of sense - painfully honest intellectually not to misrepresent theistic faith, god 'n'all that. Here he is continuously seeking middle-ground as usual. Anyway the point is the archbishop is under no dobt that faith is at the social level not the intellectual.
