I guess it means just what it says. "Original thoughts" do not pop out
of the
brain of some Miraculous Lone Individual, but emerge only from
individuals-in-social-activity. Moreso, the "individual" is herself a
confluence between an assimilated shared dialogue and the unique
experience of
her as a bounded organism. Even moreso still, of course, we must
remember that
the "self" (if this is what you mean by "individual") is an idea, or
rather a
collection of ideas.
