[Krimel] I think this is ultimately the most compelling argument for the fundamental assumption of uncertainty. It is built into our genetic code. What we see in biology is strategies for increasing odds on the gaming table of life. Our species specializes in pattern recognition and being able to adopt multiple points of view. These inborn skills improve our reproductive success. Estimating odds and constructing alternative futures is so basic to what we do as living beings that often, we do not notice that we are even doing it. It does not require conscious attention.
