this is what seattle was about...remember? i got the crap kicked out of me by
riot
police in melbourne for sitting on the ground (in a very provocative manner!)
blockading the world economic forum in 2000. its very clear how the world
works, it becomes even clearer when you see it up close.

Curious... Did they charge you with any crime? Was there probable cause,
thus,
something in the law books they cited and let you know about before they hit
you.
Did they read you your rights? Don't know if melbourne has rights that are
said
to people before they arrests by cops or not. In the U.S. they are supposed to
read
you your rights (say them to you), and then continue with the arrest. If they
don't
read you your rights then the case is thrown out of court.
gav:
what i do care about is that a society that allows such obscene resource
concentration
is totally out of balance and...well look what is happening....
woods:
As with the monetary system we currently use. All people cannot be kings
and queens. It's
monetary fact. If everybody had the same amount of money, then money would not
have much
value. We would all have the same amount of purchasing power.
I've heard that if the rest of the world could use the resources that the
U.S. and Western Europe
uses, then we would need seven more planet earth's to provide enough raw
material to go around. Have
you heard about this?
