But, despite how loved obama appears to be, you have to look at the
popular-vote numbers.

It was not a landslide as the Elctoral Vote makes it look

a difference of 7,343,700 which means if 3,671,850 plus one have voted
differently, this election would have had a different outcome.

and when you stop and think about it, the mobilization of thousands of
students, minorities that never voted before and grass root campaigns,
and the popular vote was not a landslide.

which means it's a love-hate relation ship with him, not that one of
indifference.

So if he does not do well, he won't see a second term. and knowing his
ambition he wants that pretty bad.
