Mel, My understanding rests on the fact that being is composed of value therefore I find it necessary to posit that value precedes being in correspondence with Pirsig. While being may be seen as interaction with value (value interacting with value) I hesitate to use this for it seems to promote the conceptualization of entity and seprateness. thanks -Ron
