David: The Big Self is consciousness in all its shapes, at all the levels, and you are that. Individualism, insofar as it dismisses the importance of this larger self, blocks the path to growth and wholeness, to enlightenment and keeps us feeling alienated and in competition with one another. Our culture is already overflowing with ego mania. The last thing we need is more of that.
Andre: Hi David, Exactly what I have been trying to say in my last few posts to Platt. Each individual PoV should reflect a healthy consideration and degree of respect for its parent levels, KNOWING we are made up/ built out of the same stuff/ owe our awareness/ consciousness, to the effort our parent, grand parent and great grand parent level have been carrrying out. This is a process that needs to be repeated with each new generation of humans. The greatest impediment to the successful implementation of this process is SOM and S/O division/rationality. Whilst our education system is solely geared toward molding our children into becoming usefull members of society (read: economic units) this impediment will remain the sole obstacle to real (Small self) realisation (Big Self).
