Gav to David: love ya work brudda. i like the idea of individuation, as opposed to your points about western 'faux' individuality. jung, according to me anyway, seems to be on about becoming a total individual, and that this is the journey we are all on of course... i think he is saying that we need to integrate the unconscious elements of our consciousness so that we are conscious and accepting of them, and thence free of them as unconscious reactive elements. when elements remain unconscious in the psyche they are points at which the giant may attach his hooks...if you know what i mean.
