Morning, Andre: > Andre: > I think, Mel, if he were to return today he would definately > exclaim: 'I am not a Christian!' > mel: Agreed...whole movements take his name in vain. <snip>
> Andre: > Not really Mel, but begging two: > Does Pirsig (and the MoQ) advocate carrying a gun? > Does Pirsig (and the MoQ) advocate private property? mel: Not sure what RMP advocates with those two. Since I live in the West, where real live cowboys reside I am used to seeing guns on peoples hips--away from the city, most often. It takes the 'shock' out of it and you can replace the word with 'a pair of pliers' or 'fencing tool', and it's the same, just another tool. So, I don't carry the "charge" that many bring to the gun discussion. Seems that as long as taxes drain value from property and local governments restrict your use of property, then there is no 'real' private property...it's just leased. Andre: > Thanks for your response Mel, but I do have a question for you: in a > previous post from Marsha, I believe, you were 'stunned' by something. > I am interested what it was as I seem to have lost it somewhere. mel: Not sure, but I think it was Marsha's reply to me. (Comma instead of colon) maybe regarding a side thread...and a haiku that made sense in context.
