It is faith in Jesus Christ wo came into this world, taught, proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom, and healed the sick(and made miracles) to prove that the KLingdom has begun, and then suffered, died, and ROSE AGAIN.Literally, from the dead. The resurrection for the Christian is not a lie. Now, the Christian believes that by his (Jesus') resurrection Jesus proved he is God, and if God, one who can neither deceive no be deceived. Paul in 1Cor 15:14): "And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." Christian theism is based on this kind of faith, total surrender to Jesus Christ Son of God. Outside this framework of faith, Jesus is like any other good person. Now here is the awesome puzzle: A Chrsitian believes that Jesus rose from the dead not because credible wirtnesses said so (this would make faith purely human) but because God has given him grace/specialy help to believe. Wow! The witnesses simply lead oine to the threshold of faith for God to make his decision to bestow grace or not. The Christian will say his faith is not irrational;; it is reasonable beyond science.And the Christian Pirsigian will say, this faith is of high quality static value. [It is my opinion that MoQ can/should be a handmaid of progressive theology in which faith seeks understanding/ fides quaerens intellectum}. More: the God of the Christian cannot be equated with Quality, Being, Absolute Mind, Absolete Matter, the Idea, the Tao, the Proletariat, etc. -- because he/she believes God is a personal God wo loves his creation and intervenes in history. Etc. God is totally Other, beyond essense, otherwise than being, yet "my Lord and my God", says the Christian. This God is not the God of philosphers nor of the "myths", but of Jesus Christ.
