Marsha, Found this and thought it relevant our discussion of theism being subject to scientific inquiry, and my point about relevance of thesitic/scientific langauges:
"My personal belief, from talking to physicists and trying to gauge their level of understanding of Buddha's world is that they don't know anything. The whole stance of science is hostile to mysticism. The (physicists) may have arrived at a rejection of objectivity but that isn't where they start from. No high school physics class begins with the statement "All the world is an illusion" ...talking mysticism in a scientific community is like talking Judaism in Damascus. They may listen to you but it goes completely against the grain of their education."
