MP: Thanks. I need to re-read that whole section of Lila and get at the full meaning in that quote. (I'm away on business, so it may be a few days... hotels seem to carry only one flavor of bible in the drawer...) And this may be what Ham is on about in our discussion under "Hobbes' meaning", but I'm finding it hard to see how it is Quality that is the creating element as compared to all those things which interact through Quality. If Quality is the creator, would this not make it outside creation as opposed to part of it? Did Quality create itself? If not, what did? (All common criticisms of the concept of "God," btw, I am curious to see how if at all the MoQer's answers are different from those given by theists) This "creative" notion conflicts with what I have understood about Quality to date, I need to re-read to see where that conflict originates for me.
